composer's notes
Not to be confused with the magazine or novel, this was a devised promenade piece, loosely based on the myth of “Echo and Narcissus”. It was an analytical piece that explored and critiqued the concept of narrative, storytelling, and repetition in a unique setting. I wrote around 10 pieces for various instruments, all inspired by sections of the text. Only 2 ended up in the actual performance (the rest of the music written by Caitlin McPhilimey), and 5 are available to listen to here.
