designer's notes
This was the last project created by the MA CTPD cohort of 21/22 that asked the question "what is queer joy?", and answered it through an exploration of the meanings behind the colours of the original pride flag made by Gilbert Baker. Every aspect of this production was a collaborative effort from the concept to the final performance. One of my favourite lighting states was the one we created for the green section, where we created a map-like effect on the floor using gobos and colours. One of my personal contributions that I'm quite proud of is the queer films montage from the turquoise section and you can watch the exact video here!
